The HYPOTHESIS that you will be testing

Include the following in your outline:The HYPOTHESIS that you will be testing. Please write this as an IF/THEN statement. Remember that will help you to identify the independent and dependent variables (IF I change the independent variable THEN the dependent variable will change in this way.) You have to fill in the details (independent and dependent variables and how you expect the response to change or differ from if you didn’t change that variable.)Name of enzyme you will useName of organism that will provide the enzyme (if applicable)The substrateMethod for measuring enzyme activityTreatment: How will you treat your samples? What will you change in the experimental group but not in the control group (the independent variable) and how do you proposed doing this? The control(s) in the experiment (NOTE: Controls or the control group is NOT the same thing as the controlled variables.)What variables will you hold constant among all groups experimental and control? (These are the controlled variables.)Sample size (How many replicates of the experimental group will you use? How many replicates of the control group? Replicate = same thing. You usually want to do the same thing 3X so if you mess up one you still have the other 2 results. So you might want 3 test tubes at acidic pH 3 test tubes at neutral pH 3 test tubes at alkaline pH and 3 controls.)How you will present your data (table and/or type of graph)?Anything else you would like to get feedback on before you start your experiment
